It takes time and money to find long-term solutions for many animal welfare problems. That’s why regular donations to RSPCA Victoria through Workplace Giving (also referred to as Payroll Giving) is one of the most effective ways that you can make a real difference to animals in need.

Your support can help us to:

  • Rescue animals by providing a sustainable, needs based network of animal welfare services across the state, for the care, shelter, treatment, rehabilitation, and protection of abandoned, mistreated or neglected animals, or animals affected by natural disaster.

  • Act against cruelty by enforcing existing laws to prevent cruelty to animals as well as influencing the amendment or development of legislation and standards considered necessary for the protection and welfare of animals.

  • Change hearts and minds by educating the Victorian community regarding the humane treatment and management of animals, and increasing public awareness of and support for animal welfare.

Taxing? Not at all!

When an individual makes a donation, it usually comes from their taxed income. Workplace Giving is so effective because it allows employees to make direct, pre-tax donations to RSPCA Victoria from their gross salary. If the donation is more than $2, a tax benefit is received every time employees donate. Employees don’t need to keep tax receipts or wait to claim donations with annual tax returns. In short, it makes giving easier than ever.

That’s why donating to RSPCA Victoria through Workplace Giving is such a hassle-free yet powerful way to help animals in need in your community.

Everyone’s a winner

Benefits for you

Most people find that giving through the payroll system is one of the most convenient ways to donate to their charity of choice while receiving a tax benefit in their pay. And by making pre-tax donations to RSPCA Victoria, every dollar donated will go even further to help animals that need it most. The most important benefit is the immense satisfaction and pride in helping to make real and lasting change for animals that deserve to live free from cruelty, exploitation and neglect.

Benefits for your company!

By supporting Workplace Giving, a company shows its obvious interest in wider social issues such as animal welfare. It is a low-cost way to improve staff morale and loyalty and has the added benefit of making a business even more attractive to new employees. Value is added to a company’s corporate profile, resulting in increased community approval and acceptance. Aside from being easy to set up, it is one of the most cost-effective; ‘hassle free’ ways a company can contribute to improving the community through better animal welfare outcomes.

Employer-matched giving is also an excellent way to encourage staff to become involved in Workplace Giving. When an employer matches employee donations dollar for dollar, the benefit for the animals also doubles and it sends a very positive message to employees that their employer is willing to demonstrate their commitment their charity partner/s.
